So-Called-Dollar HK-131 ( Hibler & Kappen ) Evacuation of Boston, 125th Anniversary - 1901, struck in bronze and measuring 38 mm. Obverse : Within open wreath, ' SOUVENIR 125 th ANNIVERSARY EVACUATION DAY BOSTON, MASS. 1901 ' beaded border both sides. Reverse : Soldiers ( General Washington and 4 aides ) on horseback on Dorchester Heights overlooking city and harbor from which British vessels are retreating ; 2 cannon and shot in foreground with part of fortifications below ; above ' HOSTIBUS PRIMO FUGATIS ' below says ' BOSTONIUM RECUPERATUM. XVII MARTN MDCCLXXVI ' ( The Enemy fled immediately ; Boston recaptured March 17, 1796 ) . In VF or better condition. Chalk marks on the front, i don't know what they were testing for.
