This listing is for a 1919 Prince of Wales medal, graded by PCGS SP-61. Miller-41. Baxter-160. Johnson-35. Marqusee-156. BHM-4136. Struck in silver. 63 mm. Designed by John Flanagan and struck by the Medallic Art Co. The obverse features a bust of Edward Prince of Wales in military uniform facing right. To the right are the Prince of Wales plumes and ribbon with motto I SERVE. Around the circumference, EDWARD·PRINCE OF WALES. Below plumes. Signed with JF monogram. The reverse features a standing figure of Columbia, her arms open in welcome. On either side of the field are oak branches and below the inscription is the Society seal. In the left field, COMMEMORATING / THE VISIT OF / H·R·H· THE PRINCE / OF WALES / TO THE / UNITED STATES / NOVEMBER / M·C· M · X I X / A·N·S.
